VR Gorilla B.V. (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates JadeVR (“App” or “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information from individuals who use JadeVR.

By using JadeVR, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.


1. Does JadeVR collect user data?

Yes.

We collect limited personal and technical information in order to:

  • Deliver the Service

  • Analyze performance

  • Improve user experience

  • Maintain security and prevent misuse

We do not sell data and we do not use it for advertising or marketing.

A. Account Information

When you create or manage an account, we collect:

  • Email address

Purposes:

  • Authenticate access to the Service

  • Manage user accounts and subscriptions

  • Provide customer support

We do not collect payment card details. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by the platform provider (such as Meta), and we only receive limited purchase/subscription entitlement information needed to provide access.


B. App Usage Statistics

To improve the Service and understand how the App is used, we collect:

  • Feature usage

  • Amount of time spent in the App

  • VR sessions or experiences accessed

  • Interaction patterns (e.g., downloads vs. streaming)

These statistics do not track individual behavior outside of the App.


C. Log and Technical Data

We collect technical data when you use the App, especially in case of errors or performance problems. This may include:

  • Device type and device name

  • Operating system and OS version

  • App version and configuration

  • Session duration and timestamps

  • IP address

  • Error / crash logs

We use this information for:

D. Meta / Horizon Platform Data (Quest Platform Features)

When you use JadeVR on Meta Quest, the App requests and uses certain Meta Platform Features. In this case, JadeVR will collect and process the following data from Meta:

1) Meta User ID (USER_ID)

We process a platform-specific identifier for your Meta account (User ID).

Purposes:

  • To associate your JadeVR access with your Meta platform identity

  • To maintain account integrity and prevent misuse

  • To support customer support requests and troubleshooting

2) In-App Purchases (IAP)

We process purchase transaction information related to in-app purchases made through Meta.

Purposes:

  • To unlock purchased content or features

  • To validate purchases and prevent fraud

  • To restore purchases when reinstalling the App

3) Subscriptions (SUBSCRIPTIONS)

We process subscription status and entitlement information provided by Meta.

Purposes:

  • To determine whether you currently have an active subscription

  • To enable or disable subscription-based features

  • To restore subscription access across devices

4) User Profile (USER_PROFILE)

We may process limited profile information provided by Meta’s platform (such as basic profile metadata available via platform features).

Purposes:

  • To support account linking and improve Service reliability

  • To provide basic user support and diagnostics when needed

Important notes:

  • We do not use Meta platform data for advertising.

  • We do not sell Meta platform data.

  • We do not use Meta platform data to track you outside of JadeVR.


3. Use of Firebase

JadeVR uses Google Firebase services for:

  • Crash reporting

  • Analytics

  • App monitoring

  • Secure backend hosting

Depending on your device and usage, Firebase may collect:

  • Device identifiers

  • Performance metrics

  • Crash diagnostics

  • Usage events

Firebase data is used only to provide and improve the Service.
We do not use Firebase for advertising or user profiling.

Google stores and processes this information according to their privacy terms.

When you delete your account, associated personal data is removed from our active systems unless we are legally required to retain certain data.

  • Firebase-associated data (where technically feasible)

  • Meta platform-linked data (where technically feasible)

Meta Platform Data Deletion

If you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize (where possible) any JadeVR data linked to your Meta User ID, including records related to subscription access and purchase validation, unless we are legally required to retain certain records (for example, for fraud prevention, accounting, or compliance).

8. Security

No digital system is 100% secure; therefore we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

The App may contain links to third-party websites or content.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external parties.


10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy.
If we do, we will publish the revised version in the same location.
Changes become effective once posted.
